ArchiCAD BIM Intro Workshops Help Out-of-Work Architects Become More Employable

Integrated CADD Services (ICS), technology consultant and value added reseller specializing in Building Information Modeling (BIM), in conjunction with the Boston Society of Architects (BSA), announced today it will host a series of free BIM workshops at the Boston Architectural College (BAC) in an effort to aid recently unemployed members of the architectural community. These BIM mini-trainings are part of the new "ArchiCAD BIM Intro Workshops," developed and presented by ICS, a GRAPHISOFT authorized value added reseller.
  
ArchiCAD BIM Intro Workshops are designed for out-of-work architects and designers interested in continuing their BIM education, expanding their software skill sets, building their resumes, and networking with like-minded peers. Using the BIM Learning Studio, GRAPHISOFT's free, downloadable ArchiCAD BIM tutorial, experienced BIM educators will walk attendees through a step-by-step introductory exercise. They will leave this one-day workshop with a valuable addition to their software repertoire and a greater understanding of the future of architectural design.

“‘ArchiCAD BIM Intro Workshops’ was created specifically for unemployed architects and designers looking for an affordable way to become familiar with the GRAPHISOFT ArchiCAD 14 BIM solution,” explains Greg Conyngham, President of ICS. “This workshop is a great opportunity to learn a new technology, become more employable, and meet potential employers and colleagues.”

ICS has scheduled four one-day trainings throughout July and August. The first class will be held at the Boston Architectural College (BAC) on July 16, 2010. Using BIM in Residential Design at RDC2010 Boston Share Share

RDC2010GRAPHISOFT North America and Integrated CADD Services (ICS) demonstrated ArchiCAD 13 and Virtual Building Explorer at the 2010 Residential Design and Construction show, which took place April 14th and 15th at Boston's Seaport World Trade Center.

GRAPHISOFT's newest licensing option, ArchiCAD Rental, announced the previous week, was also introduced at the booth as part of GRAPHISOFT's new flexible pricing structure.
